I am great friends with Ruben. I still have some of these frame sticker's at home. Love riding this frame, especially since I was riding the Miron before!

Re: 2001 MacNeil Ruben Alcantara
this was the first "non-haro" bike i owned (not including the team murray i had back in 80/81). i went from a Blammo to this and never looked back! was so smooth when i built it way back when...it's seen a few different "incarnations" (front/rear brakes & 4 pegs), chrome wheels, black wheels, one brake no pegs, one brake 2 pegs, the list goes on...had it to the local park a couple weeks ago. owner says "it's nice to see the retro-bikes still being ridden". ha..."retro-bikes"!
