1989 Akisu Freestyler

Same frame as GT with no stamp

I grabbed this FF and parts from a super cool member here on the East Coast. Apparently the GT and Akisu frames were made side by side in the same factory. Its a sick bike regardless of where the frame was made in my opinion. Ive always wanted a black Performer, but couldn't afford one as a kid, and don't really want to pay the high price now, so this is right in my wheelhouse. Another hood cruiser.
Traded away to a better home

Re: 1989 Akisu Freestyler

nice grab! i was eyeing this frame set for a while also. Seller is cool and answered all my questions. I took too long deciding and I guess you bought it lol.... I was gonna build it up similar to you with the generic gt style mallet and chainwheel. It would be a bike I would be afraid to try new tricks and drop.

looks great!

Thanks! This is a cruiser for me around the hood with my kids. No major tricks happening anymore over here lol

Re: 1989 Akisu Freestyler

Thanks director --- My boy Brian the Firefighter from Boston hooked me up with the FF and parts. It was all him, I just built it. Brian gets the credit for this one for sure. Only change I made was gumwall tires instead of all whites he provided. Going to tweak some things here and there, and later add a rotor of some kind.

The bike looks great. Both ways you built it look cool. But the white really pops off of the black powder coat. I’m glad you are happy with. It goes good in your collection.
