1980 SE Racing P.K. Ripper

I bought this for $25 when I was turning wrenches in a bike shop in the late 80's. Someone traded it in for a MTB. Since then i've built it up twice, one when i was racing it then again after i retired it. I wanted to do a third build, a full out restore but never got around to it and decided to sell the frame and fork. The frame was originally blue but the paint was in bad shape, so i stripped it, painted it white, then stripped and polished the frame by hand and got the fork chromed. Thanks for checking out my post!

The blue wasn't in bad shape and could have stayed that way but the polished look ended up being much nicer. It was unbelievable what people traded in and for how cheap.

Yes it's polished aluminum. Though some people (Race Inc) tried to chrome plate aluminum, it never lasts very long. This frame is polished.
