I don't look at the math so much on new frames- I just have to trust that the guys that design the stuff know what they are doing.  If their pro riders are good with it, well that's probably good enough for me.  lol

Never know until you ride it I guess.

Re: S&M New 2020 Mad Dog frame design..new video!

I wonder if this is a trail/race frame? It has a slack head angle and 27.2 seat tube.

really, I thought 74.2 was a steep head angle? GAry

No steep is considered 75 or more, trail and race frames are usually in the 74 to 74.5 range.

Yes, very interesting indeed ... that's definitely race or trails type angles, 27.2mm typical race post size, and a 10" SO that's really tall by today's standards

More than likely a race frame with that seat tube size and slack headtube angle.

Looks promising.
The geometry is the same as the CCR frame (which Moeller rides).

Looks like it uses steel panther dropouts too.

I think if it comes with removable mounts and no gyro tabs, they might as well go V brake.  They are superior if just running a straight cable.

Looks pretty much Steel Panther with shorter rear end and taller stand over.

I like it, and am really looking forward to its release. Probably wont ride very much different than my CCR but definitely gonna have to buy one.
Hopefully Chrome is an option.

I subscribe to them and I can't find this.  Always a play on 80's stuff MAD DOG 20/20, that's awesome.  That stuff was horrible going down and coming up.

Re: S&M New 2020 Mad Dog frame design..new video!

The 27.2 post makes sense since Mad Dog runs a quick release clamp on his bike and often rides his seat high. That also explains the tall stand over too.

Other than that, it’s super similar to a ccr including the tube diameters.

I can’t wait to see it!

No steep is considered 75 or more, trail and race frames are usually in the 74 to 74.5 range.

lol 75 isnt steep, i run 75.75 with 15mm forks. my new frame will be 76.5, wtp doomsayer is 76.25

Lol you don’t know anything, 75 and steeper is considered steeper and that’s why street and park frames use 75 or steeper. Below 75 is more relaxed for race and trails! I’m tired of people with no knowledge needing to add false input

75 is not considered steep almost every modern frame has a 75 degree headtube below 75 is mellow 75 is essentially the center point but if you actually rode youd know that but it seems youre just a collector... i ride trails with a 75.75 ht and 15mm offset forks.... i mostly ride street. my new frame is going to be 76.5 headtube, 21.5tt, 12.6 cs, 11.6 bb, 10" standover with 72 degree seattube. dont come at me with that bullshit
