Soooooooooo, you can run new school size sprockets/components on a new frame with new school geometry and make them all functionally work with a Bashguard?  Oh come on man, surely you have to run a 44 on there?  It's against the laws of nature!?!?!?!

Mid or New. I went with Mid

I liked that too. I think it's popular enough.

Breaking classes up by school is problematic for a variety of reasons which is why it's come down to functional class and stayed that way for a while now.  If we offered mid, then old and new would be needed as well.  If you leave it at that, then you have race/cruiser/freestyle all lumped together in nebulously defined "schools" which nobody agrees on anyway.  The last time this was really done properly, there were 6 overall classes which, frankly, is too much to manage and it dilutes each class a lot.  If we could get 100s or more people involved, it might be possible to make this more granular and hopefully this new "completed class" will help suck more people in to give us more options in the future.

True. This thread would be at 20 pages by now with fighting over when mid school started/ended.

Yes the red one posted under "my bikes" will get some updates and new pics for the "Any Bike" category and I've been saving parts forever to do a Sean McKinney tribute Sabbath which the white one will end up being. This will complete my Sabbath Trilogy including the one I built for the Calendar build off last year which belonged to my best friend and riding mate of 30 years now.

Floval progress. Went through a light sanding process. Not polished yet and not trying to get a mirror finish

No, finishing DFL is my job this year.

Done it before, several times!   One buildoff even resulted in zero votes!

I'm looking forward to finishing at the back of the Freestyle entries with a 2005 Diamondback Joker:

I also tossed my 1999 Schwinn HydraGlide in to the 'Any' category.  Given the other bikes that have already been entered there, a bottom-quarter finish is likely as well.
