I believe those are steel wheels. Heavy as hell. I think I used to own a pair I sold on a bike. I don’t know the brand though. If they are the same as the ones I had I would be interested in the wheels.

Re: Frame and wheel id?

Pretty sure it's a Walgoose.  Guess those are Profile cranks.

Hutch Fun Facts: All main line Hutch's with digits only S/N (no letters or baseballs) on the rear drop outs were US made and had their dropouts stamped between late '83 and '86.  Obviously the frame manufacture would occur slightly after that, even if they just threw 'em in a bucket randomly.  There is an obvious date code in that the first 2 digits seem to be the month and the 3rd digit is pretty obviously the last digit of the year running from '83-'86.

That was my first thought when I saw the head tube. But that back triangle just tells me its something else. The cranks scream profile to me also.

Re: Frame and wheel id?

The frame is a Kink Empire. Definitely worth grabbing. Cranks & chainwheel look Profile to me, also worth a grab. Stem looks like it might be a S&M Redneck.
The rest looks like junk. Those wheels aren’t Spin.

Thank you!
When I first saw it Mongoose Hoop-d ran through my head but the back half said it was something else.

What you have there is 1998 Kink Empire first generation. Built by Spooky Cycles. I have one that I finished restoring a while back. No more than 100 produced. Good score!!
