USA Trickstar Project

So the frameset was NOT salvageable- so off to C4 labs. Had a neat idea- why not make it kinda look like an 85 Haro Master? I had a set of 400’s that also needed refinishing and a few other parts that would make this a lot of fun. I moved 3.5 years ago and it’s been on a backburner since then. Well all I need to do now is go inside and grab some brake pads and put a chain on... grab another rear brake cable for front and she’s about done. Here’s a few pics.  I’ll be finished within a week or so and put new pics up - just really want to share this!
Old Trickstar frameset
Old tange 125 headset
New Hutch bars
New Hutch grips
Redline forklifter stem
DC 128 levers and 880’s- DC cables
DC hinged clamp
Old Hutch layback
Shotgun II seat
OG Skyway metal flange
Redline 400’s
OG Hutch freestyle pedals

I have put a lot of thought into the colors of/and parts used. Pads /brake pads chain and plate will be put on within a week. Super stoked!

Re: USA Trickstar Project

Thanks guys!! If I ever do plan to sell it- it’s just decals to replace! As for now- pedals and everything else is not for sale!

Re: USA Trickstar Project

That looks killer!

Hutch Fun Facts: All main line Hutch's with digits only S/N (no letters or baseballs) on the rear drop outs were US made and had their dropouts stamped between late '83 and '86.  Obviously the frame manufacture would occur slightly after that, even if they just threw 'em in a bucket randomly.  There is an obvious date code in that the first 2 digits seem to be the month and the 3rd digit is pretty obviously the last digit of the year running from '83-'86.

Re: USA Trickstar Project

What a great idea for a build, it came out blazing. I was wondering is it was going to see neon green when I scrolled down. Very nice build. Who made the graphics for the decals and how?

Re: USA Trickstar Project

The general basic idea I had drawn on paper and that’s about it. I like doing custom stuff but this had been a favorite of mine! I’m kickin myself for letting it sit and collect dust! Like mentioned earlier- hopefully done in a week or so!!!
