Re: 1983 JMC Shadow

Ya know a first gen uni seat would be killer on there..and yeah that bike with needs those cranks..it wasn’t the local 16 expert hot shoe riding a shadow..I was the fast 11 expert..1/38 would be cool too..

Please.....no Tuff Wheels on full on race bikes...original graphite’s only and pre 81
Let me guess you were factory sponsored in
the 80’s...
Please no colored tires on race bikes...
So how many years were you a Pro....
You knew a guy that had a Mongoose that weighed 12 pounds

Re: 1983 JMC Shadow

Thanks again guys. Found some pedals that were perfect for this one. Went back to the original brakes. Still looking for the right grips, but these AMEs will do for now. And I’m pretty impressed with these fake Comp II tires. Until I can find some others these work for me.

Re: 1983 JMC Shadow

They will be saved and sold with frame if I ever decide to part with it. Along with original packaging with price tag still attached.

Re: 1983 JMC Shadow

Few updates. Added a Brute stem, STR bars, .5 Oakley grips and a GHP or Robinson Seat post. She’s getting there, just need some JMC bars.

Re: 1983 JMC Shadow

Very nice itsdug. I always believed the brake cable should run to the left side then cross over. It seems to move better in actual riding. Also I’m a big fan of 7b style rims, they just don’t work good with a hand brake under pressure. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks man. Yeah, that's how I go about it, seems they're always a work in progress. Finally found some bars, so she's close.
