Re: 1983 JMC Shadow

Looks perfect as is, LEAVE the blue grips given the hubs. IMO, KILLER J-Mack.

Thanks Craig. Going to edit first post so that it makes more sense. This how bike sits now. Minus pedals...

Thanks. With all this buzz around the Stranger Than Whatever bike, I'm considering some yellow Tuffs and a headlight. $$$$

Now you're talking!!

Love the changes as is. Why do you not like the pedals?

I live for SE, Race Inc, Nomura, and Navajo!!

Hey guys, go ahead and keep selling everything SE, GJS, and Nomura to Thailand. Once it's gone it's NEVER coming back to the US. There really IS more to BMX collecting than money!!

If I hear the words "RARE", "GRAIL", or "SCORE" one more time, I'm gonna f'n puke.

Very nice. That's an understatement. cool

I have a front 890 if it fits the build.

Re: 1983 JMC Shadow

Thanks Brian! I love the pedals, but the bike almost looks too 70s to me. I wanted it to be a little more era correct if you will. Even thinking I should put the MX-900 back on it for the same reason. And needs a stem. I feel limited with the bottom bracket though when it comes to cranks.

I guess the pedals just didn't seem right to me on this one... I'll figure it out.

Thanks dude, I'm pretty stoked. I said I was done. No more buying, and then this happened. Hope to see you on Saturday.

Re: 1983 JMC Shadow

To complete the build, you really should add a Skyway frame stand and a front brake before this weekend.

needs a OPC cool

but then again, in my opinion anything early 80s needs a OPC tongue

In all seriousness, absolutely RAD cool cool

Just feel they're not right for the bike. Again, I love the pedals. Just not on this bike.

Re: 1983 JMC Shadow

Killer bike the Kashimax looks perfect on there.

Yellow tuffs are hot too.

Seriously though what’s that bike weigh?
Just curious as my 20” Vector in the build off was 23lbs. Maybe that’s about standard for true old school race bike?

Cranks like yours and. UNI seat probably would have got it down to 21.  That’s pretty light

Thanks again. It's right at 22. That's with an old Tuf Neck and generic seat post. Pretty impressed.

Almost put a set of yellow Tuffs on it this morning for shits and giggles, but I went for a hike instead.
