McDs yes. SE won't even bother. Actually S&M / FIT doing as such just brings more visability to the SE Bikes. Neither give a sh$t. SE will continue to sell to the masses, while S&M / FIT will continue selling to those wanting a higher quality product, be that a individual frame or complete.

Think Todd meant to say "...this bike wouldn't even exist..."

He must have been riding a wheelie while typing out his response.

Re: FIT TRIPPER 26" vs. SE BIKES

That's a stupid statement and I own(ed) a couple of retro STRs in that color. Besides the obvious parody name, pads and colorway, the bikes are not alike at all. Not in design or parts. I think S&M bikes would still be making bikes and doing just fine without the existing of SE.

The SE gravy train will soon come to a end once the kids get their driver's license.

I'm not a big Todd Lyons fan by any means, but he does have a point. When Fit and GT trying to copy SE big bike catagories to get a share of the $$$, it does point to who is killing it right now in that market... SE.

Fast food restaurants is a whole other industry / business. As far as bmx goes fit / S&m has done this a lot. Todd used to ride for s&m and didn’t have any plans on suing Fit over this. cool

Re: FIT TRIPPER 26" vs. SE BIKES

It's not so important for the world but the "Tripper" will not sell very good in Germany because its a common name for "Gonorrhoe" ....

The gonorrhea is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections. Medically it is also called gonorrhea. The disease is caused by bacteria known as "gonococci". They can affect all mucous membranes, typically the urethra, but also the rectum and the oropharynx.

Rides nice and the one thing that made me hesitant in buying it was the listed bb height . Kinda a bit high for a 26” but in the end knew I’d do Nothing but sit down and pedal with it so figured I’d deal with it . The listed height is incorrect though . It’s 12.5”

Re: FIT TRIPPER 26" vs. SE BIKES

These things are awsome.

SE isnt even shipping bikes until late january, and its a really small amount. Probably not gonna have a decent stock until mid next year.

FIT coulda made a killing if they released a 24" or additional colors.

The quality and detail of this bike is phenomenal compared to SE bikes. Better welds and chromoly frame for same or less weight than a Blocks flyer.

The worst part about SE's is their cranks. 100 lb kids strip the arms off just doing wheelies or riding, not even jumps.
