Re: SCHWINN TORQUE FLIGHT/AZRAEL/CANADIANBEAST/HYDROMATIC ETC.

A buddy and myself were in St. Thomas a few years ago picking up a first gen Hoffman Big Daddy and stopped at a local bike shop.
He was a Schwinn dealer in the 90's and had a pile of NOS parts and frames hanging up. We weren't interested but they could still be there.
Do some Googling maybe you'll find the shop, I have no idea what it was called, I think it had bikes and hockey stuff though.

Ya, had a shop in this general area in recent years that had a number of those MID SCHOOL SCHWINN frames that they were getting rid of. Unfortunately at the time, I had "handlers" around me, my health was messed up and didn't have the money to buy them. By the time things improved for me, the shop had closed and I lost contact.

How about the Van Homan Mean Street? Another one I'd love to have that's impossible to find. Schwinn received a cease and desist letter from Eddie Van Halen's attorneys due to copyright infringement of the "VH" logo.

The Mean Street is the only one I dig. After sitting on this frame for over 10years yikes I finally built it up last month.
Not NOS anymore!

Here is that bike as pictured in the Schwinn ad in the August 1998 bmx plus. Notice the decals, especially the W in Schwinn.

Guru... very nice frame there! Awesome to have a frame that Jay used. That's the one he was riding around early 96 which would make it a prototype right? Any differences you noticed to production frames?

I wonder if mine is a Prototype, as it doesnt have any serial number.
I have posted mine in another thread, but today I will snap a couple pics.

What's the black bike on the left, between the white bike and the red CANADIAN BEAST?

Re: SCHWINN TORQUE FLIGHT/AZRAEL/CANADIANBEAST/HYDROMATIC ETC.

It only looks white. It is the 1995 aluminum Schwinn XS ENF.
There are some early prototype framesets running around, but this is just a solid, clean example.
The Qualifier Pro is actually my favorite bike of them all. Haha. Josh

**Edit: I used to have some El Jefe frame sets, but I let them go to a good home.
That being said, I have been looking for the white TF for about a decade now, and always looking for a 1st gen El Jefe frame set.

Oh, the black bike. Sorry about that. It is a 1997 Powerflow with a Schwinn USA freestyle fork. Josh

Very nice collection mowgli. I am curious were you referring to your Canadian beast frame earlier that doesn't have a production number stamped on it?
