Added a Jad to the fleet after a little drama

Saw this on Ebay a week ago and started asking questions. Seller was pretty upfront and like I normally do I asked "If I win may I send you a shipping label ?" His reply was  "sure but I don't know why you would ?" The auction was up 5 days later so it was still a guess if I was even getting it. I managed to win and sent off a 2 day label as it was too late in the am for a next day. Upon getting the box I noticed a large hole in the box.... Unpacked to find only one pedal $/^&* ! I sent off a message to verify it was not still at his house. He replied with "It was in the box", #$@÷ !  The next day I decided before filing a claim to stop at UPS and nicely ask if they had any spare parts. I described the pack job to the guy at the desk. He suddenly held up his finger and said be right back. Upon returning he had a little wrapped box... with the pedal inside ! Victory ! Told me how lucky i was. Made my Friday for sure.

Damn...that’s some mid school sweetness...I don’t recall seeing many of those, even at national events..but still very cool and unique

Bring that guy a 6 pack.

Would like lots of bikes but the SE Hauler is one that has a lot of sentimental value to me. Anyone got one?

That would be the walk in the door customer price for 2 day shipping on a bike for cross country. My cost is listed below under negotiated discount.

Re: Added a Jad to the fleet after a little drama

Glad it worked out for you.   I'm with you,and have sent labels to people a whole bunch of times.  Negotiated business prices for companies that ship hundreds of items are MUCH lower.  Comes in handy.  big_smile

Sweet bike, I've always wondered how they ride?
