Cheap bike work stand

Just became avalable at Aldi's . 24.99
They had them avaliable last year but I was to late.  For a basic cheap work stand it has good reviews.  http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/249125/20190515_1850135cdcafd915.jpg

Re: Cheap bike work stand

That store is a trip. Get groceries and a edge trimmer or bike stand.

Let me know if it is worth the money.  I keep missing out when a Park Tools stand goes on CL.

Re: Cheap bike work stand

You can't argue with the price but those legs are a tripping hazard and forget it if you have a roller shop chair.  I'd try one if I didn't have a Park PCS-1

Re: Cheap bike work stand

Reminds me of when my neighbor came over one year asking to help pick up their Xmas tree. I'm like OK. Though it was a real one. Go over and one of the legs like that was bent to hell. I helped hold it while he took the decorations off. tongue

Re: Cheap bike work stand

My wife texted me from Aldi asking if I want one.  I said based on the review I read on the Internet you are supposed to set up in the kitchen between the stove and the sink.  She decided not to buy it.

Re: Cheap bike work stand

Do these fold up?

I have a Park stand at home, but this could be a nice option to keep in the car trunk and take to the races.

It folds up and breaks down to a pretty portable size.

Re: Cheap bike work stand

i wonder if ours has them... going to go check the place out today. looks perfect for the shop and shows.

love aldi's... i believe they single-handedly cut the price of eggs and milk by more than half and made everyone else do it as well.

Re: Cheap bike work stand

It's pretty solid. For the price well worth it, no stability issue at all and I don't have it on full open.

Re: Cheap bike work stand

So am I correct in assuming it comes with the handle bar stabilizer? (If so that's a nice touch)

I broke my PCS-9 clamp a while back (it could still be used but it took some trickery) well this week it had enough and the clamp said NO MASS, So I tried looking for replacement parts on the Park Tool site but prior to 2007 is discontinued. I emailed Park Tool and asked for some help or should I just buy a brand new stand? They quickly responded with SEND US A PICTURE of the damage, I did and they said...We just sent you the parts you need at NO COST to you.

I was in shock by that, so Park Tools has a new lifetime customer.
