Craig Turner Custom 29" Z-Frame arrived today

Saw this for sale here recently, and just had to have it! Arrived today, and I've got chrome 4-piece bars, forks, seat post and CTK decal kit on order with Craig. Those parts should arrive next week. I also scored a set of blue GT Pro Performer 29 wheels off fleabay.

I'm thinking chrome Odyssey Thunderbolt cranks, to kinda go with the Z-Frame / lighting bolt vibe.

The color is what pulled me in right away! It's stunning in person - not easily captured in photos so far.

Re: Craig Turner Custom 29" Z-Frame arrived today

So aside from the aforementioned Gary Turner sourced Bars, Forks and Seat Post in chrome, here's what I'm thinking for the rest of the parts - Nothing too crazy, as I want to ride the hell out of it.

I really want the frame to stand out the most, so that's why I picked the smoke stem and dark grey parts for a low key accent. I think it will look nice with all the chrome, and am trying to steer away from black parts on this one.

* Wheel pics are straight off the ebay listing - I will be ditching the reflectors!

I'm trying to get more info, but the guys are hit or miss with text e-mail sometimes - By the time I worked out all the details for the chrome parts, I think I wore out my welcome with questions lol

I'm sure they're busy and I'm not the type to call and harass, so hopefully I can get e-mail response as time allows.

Re: Craig Turner Custom 29" Z-Frame arrived today

Threw on the blue wheels too get a feel for it. Hoping it's not too much blue, but I'm sure the tires will break it up. I think I need a really nice chrome chain for this, if anyone has any ideas.

Re: Craig Turner Custom 29" Z-Frame arrived today

Thinking of using the tires that I'm not using from my GT. They are the ones still mounted. Either that, or the tan walls on the left. Leaning toward the lighter walls actually. Opinions?

Re: Craig Turner Custom 29" Z-Frame arrived today

You have slow down bud, I can only handle one build at a time. lol

As to the question on the tires, I like the dark skin walls myself. The gumwalls pop to much I think. Either way your killing it so far.

Two other options: Solid black tires, or Cult X Vans white wall with red stripe, and use a white seat. To pop, or not to pop . . .

Re: Craig Turner Custom 29" Z-Frame arrived today

Decisions, decisions. I think what ever way you go, you'll nail it. Do they make any black and grey wall tires?

Edit: just remembered.
How about the Schwalbe Big Apple. It has a thin grey line.
