1993 SE Racing Chromoly Quadangle

Bought this complete 1993 Quad from a friend that lives in Long Beach. Changed out the stuff I didnt like and sold those parts to buy what I wanted for it. Im not sold on the Skyway Tuff 2's but they have been on the bike since they were new in 2004.

All original finish and decals 1993 4130 chromoy Quad and Landing Gear forks. 93 was the first year for canti brake studs on Quads but still used 1" threaded forks.

SE Racing bars (bought new with frame and fork).
Ame Tri grips
Tioga headset
DK stem
Odyssey brake lever
Odyssey seat
Odyssey seat post clamp
GT 90s stamped seat post
Unknown polished brakes and cable
Skyway sealed bearing female axle Tuff 2's
Rainbow label Comp 3 tires 20x2.125 and 1.75
CQP 181mm cranks and spider (Cooks Quality Products)
Primo sealed bottom bracket
GT 44t chain ring
Izumi chain
Suntour 16t freewheel
Odyssey triple trap pedals

Would LOVE to find a set of correct second gen Quad pads but distractDD has been looking for some for almost a year. Only set Ive ever seen in black, I owned back in 2007.

Most likely going to buy a set of date correct 36h rims for this with nice hubs.

Hey guys, go ahead and keep selling everything SE, GJS and Nomura to Thailand. Once it's gone it's NEVER coming back to the US. There really IS more to BMX collecting than money!!

If I hear the words "RARE", "GRAIL" or SCORE" one more time, I'm gonna f'n puke.

Sweet Quad! cool Dig the cranks! Curious, are the cranks new to that year or were they available earlier.

Cant say I disagree but its been on the bike forever and a day. Im the third owner. Original owner worked at SE and bought frame, fork, bars new. I may change it. Just havent bought a stock one yet.

As far as the cranks, I looked through some BMX Plus issues online and see the CQP cranks in all the 93 dated magazines ads and not 92 so I think they were new in 93. Anyone know different?

A buddy of mine has a black one like yours with the brake mounts, but his is threadless. We have always wanted to find out what year it is.

Looks great Brian!!  As far as the blue cable hanger, maybe strip the blue and leave it raw or polished.

That would make it 94-95. In 1996 SE went to the fat downtube aluminum Quad.

Tuffs with female axles??

Was that some sort of aftermarket axle conversion?

I like it - gives the vibe of a bike that was passed down to a younger brother and along the way had some newer era parts swapped.
