1983 Kuwahara Laserlite

One of my two favorite childhood bikes, tried to get as close to original form.

I remember going into the SwissAmerica bike shop in northwest Phoenix as a 13/14yr old and seeing this bike displayed and always wanted it. This is my second one, I picked up from a great guy on Ebay who did an awesome job with it. I added the cranks but otherwise he had it near original. Tange/Toyo Kogyo frame and fork version (versus my other one is Koizumi) Kuwahara chrome-moly handlebars SunTour power stem Hatta headset with SunTour headlock Araya 7x rims, Suntour sealed bearing hubs Dia-Compe MX brakes, lever Suntour XCII pedals Redline flight cranks, full wrap Sugino sprocket, Suntour freewheel Elina seat Kuwahara chrome-moly layback seatpost Suntour arrow seat post clamp OGK grips

Looks like my old Laserlite. I loved that bike. Those Redline cranks were the ish!
They separated the men from the boys BITD.cool
