Re: Crusty Morning find! 1979 PK Ripper
Sweet! Keep hoping something like this pops up locally, but I’d have to see it 1/10th of a second after it was posted to have a chance at it.
There's no help for this Museum Junkie!

Re: Crusty Morning find! 1979 PK Ripper
All the colored SE bikes I own have color inside the BB. If it is indeed a repaint, it was done well and done early in its life. Plenty of chips and marks from being in a bike rack on the back of a car/truck and no sign of it being any other color.
It's still cool as shit.
I BUY ANYTHING OLD SCHOOL SE RACING! Framesets, stickers, bars, padsets, jerseys, helmets and etc!
Always looking for NOS or MINT USED 20 inch Yellow Label Comp II and 3 tires in black and 20 inch Cycle Pro Snake belly tires in black with or without skinwall!

Re: Crusty Morning find! 1979 PK Ripper
Just needs era correct parts on it and it would be a great bike to ride and show off. The color red reminds me of a Chevrolet color called Rio Red.

Nice clean up. Caliper and rear wheel were seriously ran to the minimum mount. F/F remind me of a friends quad

Very cool brother.
That paint looks great and well done. I'm thinking that it might just be OG colors.
Awesome

Like you are going to build it and ride it, flipper Jon
I live for Race Inc, SE Racing, Navajo, and Nomura!!
If I hear the words "RARE", "GRAIL", or "SCORE" one more time, I'm gonna f'n puke. ALSO, NOS is NOT a condition description. Being NOS has NOTHING to do with the actual condition of the part.

I had a buddy send me a link to this, made the call and snagged it up this morning. 4hr round trip was definitely worth it!
1979 frame (no serial number)
Unstamped Landing Gear fork
Possibly a early repaint....1979 wouldn't have LG forks or these decals but I'm happy to have snagged it before the usual Facebook/Craiglists whores grabbed it up!
Bunch of 90s crap parts!
Shit is still out there! Just gotta look for it!

"Craigslist Whores"...
! I love it! Got quite a few of them around my way!!! I especially love the ones that repost the same bikes 2-days later for more money.
Nice find!

Nice grab! It did look funny with the 90's parts on it, looks awesome now since you broke it down and cleaned up the frame and fork.
