1980 S&S Newport 26

Original finish and decals S&S Newport/Works Replica

S&S Newport. This is one of the Newports they slapped Works Replica decals on at the factory. The common consensus is that these are the chromoly frames S&S sold. I purchased this bike from the Baltimore area. It was an east coast bike and still has the Havre De Grace license decal on the seat mast.
See page 28 for the test article in BMX Plus.

Thanks man. Stoked on this rig. Found it on a craigslist’s List ad in Baltimore. Took a little convincing to get him to ship, but it was worth the negotiation.

Here’s a pic of John Severin running over the Old Man on one of these rigs... BMX cruiser class racing at its finest...

Thanks man. Definitely a great bike. Super comfortable, and really hauls ass when I get out of the saddle.

Enjoy your new whip!

Re: 1980 S&S Newport 26

This reminds me of the California Cruiser ads I saw in BMX Action years ago.  I have a 2007 Schwinn Panther aluminum frame that is decked out similarily. at least in colors. Cool bike!
