Re: I NEED A NEW VEHICLE! SUGGESTIONS!

I'm in the "buy 5 years old" crowd.  The things that usually break are covered on warrantee or recall during the first purchaser's ownership.

In the case of the Tacoma, it was a good buy, a top pick and probably will be on the road for 30 years and 500,000 miles.  I'm the type of guy that would rather pay 50% of the new price when someone gets tired of it after 5 years and I can stay in the 13,000 range every 8 years.  5 years old and 75,000 miles feels new anyway.  Ive got 329,000 on my 06, so I'm going to start looking for a 5 yr old, 75,000 truck soon and run it for a daily for a long time.  Crew Cabs were so expensive I went with a high mileage one to drop the price down.  Might even get a 2012 Camaro SS vert.

I tend to agree.  4-5 year old & keep it until at least the 10-11 year mark.  I wonder what the wife will replace her sonoma with.  Barely has 10k per year on it, so probably has quite a bit of life left in it.

Well thank you for buying new.  Because without people who buy new, those of us who refuse to...wouldn't have any used car market to shop in.  cool

100%. Thank you to all those people who bought brand new and paid the depreciation on my cars! wink

you subscribe 1 month a year and download all the sets smile

not to mention it's not really porn when it's just a chick posing naked in diff photos sets but yeah. lol

to my surprise I logged in and she posted a pregnancy picture roll

but yeah the dealer in Winston Salem wouldn't move on their price of the used quicksand tacoma I wanted, so it was like ok, pay $2000 more and get brand new with 3 miles on the odometer.

Those lifts can put extra strain on components. I am already doing full suspension repairs on vehicles that are less than 7 years old that are stock. That's most of not all makes. Didn't see that til the last 5 or 6 years.

After working on enough Chrysler vehicles.I am convinced they are the worst automaker.

I’ve only driven dodge/Jeep/Chrysler for the past 13 years and have had zero issue at all.

Re: I NEED A NEW VEHICLE! SUGGESTIONS!

I'm late to this game but I suggest Lexus.  At the top of the "most reliable cars in America" list for years and years over and over again.  If you could get a Hilux or Prado then cool, but they're not available here; Lexus is the king on this continent.  smile

Threadless isn't "old school", sorry lol.  Thank you Linn Kastan, Scott Breithaupt, Bob Haro, Eddie Fiola, Martin Aparijo, Kevin Hull, Jose Yanez, Matt Hoffman & the rest for leading the way & keeping the flame lit.  Without you guys we'd have nothing.  (And one more thing; WHATS IT MADE OUT OF?!?! Aluminum? Hi-ten? Cro-mo? Titanium? PUT IT IN THE DESCRIPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

.....except when you go to trade them in. wink

chrysler/jeep vehicles have no resale value unless its a hemi or an actual jeep. jeeps seem to get crazy money on trades and ive never understood that.

wait... you have gone through 8 chrysler/jeep vehicles in 13 years?

When do feel the vibration? At a certain speed? When braking? Just curious.big_smile

Typically freeway speed - 55-70mph.

Truck is fresh from the factory so it wasn't sitting on the lot at all getting "flat spots"

if not tires, maybe u joint or output shaft bearing on trans. i had a old 80s toyota that would vibrate at high speed (75+ mph) it was the bushing in the output shaft of the transmission.
