1977 Diamond Back MX

Number 15!!!

This Diamond Back MX is number 15 and wears its original black finish and its original shop sticker. Total survivor MX. This bike came from the original owner and was passed down to his son who rode the bike until the early 90’s. All the hardware is original to frame and this bike also left the shop with Tuf wheels I’s which were still on bike. The forks are original to frame as well and are Diamond Back MX forks, but the dropouts are not the usual double we all know. Either this was a prototype, custom for someone in factory or an early repair that made it to bike shop before owner purchased the bike I may never know, but’s it’s fun trying to find out. I’ve compared the forks to the other sets of 77 MXs I have and everything else is identical. Either way this is a very cool piece of bmx history and Diamond Back MX history as well.

Haha! Thanks man. They are the original DB forks just either an early repair or some prototype stuff that went bad lol

I Love the way you have it displayed.
I know it went to the right home.
