1978 Redline Microline

40 year old Microline

This bike was a little confusing to me at first. It came with Proline stickers on it. But its not a Proline. While they are sort of the same family. Proline is tagged for riders over 5-6" and the Microline for those under 5-6". They share quite a few similarities. And in 1978 they did indeed come with Proline decals. So here are the basics. 78 microline frame and Proline forks for the 4" headtube. Tourney 170 cranks with HTI rat trap pedals. Redline super proline stem (brute) , NOS microline Vbars with oury grips. Araya 7X 1.75x20 rims laced to shimano hubs. Comp II treads newly released. Dia compe brakes, fluted seat post and repop proline snap pads

Yes, that's what Proline forks with a 4" headtube are; Microline forks.
