1982 SE Racing P.K. Ripper

Nice little race bike built with era correct parts.  I built it thinking how someone might have taken some left over parts and put them on a new to them frame in 82-83.



Frame: 1982 P.K. Ripper ball burnished
Fork: SE Landing Gear unstamped
Bars: Race Inc. alloy
Grips: Oakley 1
Stem: Tuf-Neck “Pat. Pending” circa 1979
Headset: Tange 125 (new)
Cranks: Takagi Tourney
Sprocket: 44T
Chain: HKK
Bottom Bracket: Takagi loose ball
Pedals: Suntour XC-II
Wheels: Phil Wood 1st Gen/Araya 7C
Tires: Chen Sheng Comp III 1.75
Seat Post: Uni
Seat: Uni Hammerhead
Clamp: Suntour
Brake: Dia Compe MX 1000 1983
Lever: Dia Compe 132MT pre-bent 1983 NOS
Pads: Cal-Lite Johar/Perry Kramer

Very true about mixing new and old.
Not many had the cash flow to step into a shop and build a new bike off the hop.
Cool build, and a great riding bike. I love mine.
