Hopefully some exacto surgery and careful number/decal placement made that plate useable.  Still sucks though I hope the seller made good..

I tried to zip tie it back for a bit to get shape back. I squeezed the bubbles out but slight creases still visible. As for seller...I don't know what he was thinking. Lol

I'd stay away from any knife,  use a plastic squeegee applicator with heat. Try a hair dryer first, then if needed a real heat gun.

Bummer, looked like a nice plate too

Re: WORST packing jobs! Send it!

Bro USPS didn't damage that, the person that packed it and shipped it caused that damage.

If an object is packed properly the box should be able to withstand a bit of rough and tumble, bumps in the road, movement, an accidental drop or stacking from shippers, mail workers, truckers, handlers etc and still have the item arrive undamaged with it's packaging still intact.
Thats the whole point of the proper packaging.

Sorry your tank was terribly packed, I hope you got your money back.

If any of you guys received a complete bike like this, would it bother you? Paid $575, and the seller is pretty upset I told him I was disappointed with his packing after paying good money (which he says it’s hilarious I think that amount is “a lot”)..I do get that some of the damage to the box outside was done by the carrier (UPS/bikeflights) but there was no padding involved, I pulled the bike out exactly as you see it in the photo with the pedals wrapped in a paper towel bouncing around the box..looks like the front wheel may have a hop now as it was smashed in and there is no truing a mag.. I could use some opinions here, seller wants me to ship it back because I’m not happy with the pack job, won’t even apologize and blames the carrier and even me for having high expectations. But this is a bike I’ve wanted for awhile, and I did get a good deal but it’s not worth the headache involved already.. especially if the front wheel is as bad off as it seems, won’t really know until I disassemble it completely..

do not ask if any of my bikes are for sale. if it is not listed, it is not for sale...

Yep that’d bother me. Probably not to the point of returning it though.

I almost bought that subrosa but didn’t want the mags with it.

Seems as though the Seller did the LEAST Amount of Work to ship it! Removing the Mags, wrapping 'em with More Bubble wrap and Tying them to the Frame would've been A Way to Help from Damage Occuring(Plastic vs Spokes). But Some People Don't GIVE A F*€× when it's No Longer THEIRS! hmm neutral

That sucks man!! Another one for the shipping hall of shame. To me it says that they don't give a sh!t.. Got the money and you got your bike, so what's the problem..

"IMO" the problem is some people just don't care. We've lost "common courtesy" which is hard to have if people don't use "common sense".

Yeah, it's work and time consuming to pack item's up, but with some self pride you'd think a person would want to impress their buyers.

I guess even grown men learn new lessons daily. We vent, learn and move on..
Bummer to see VRAD.. You're one of the good guys on here.

Re: WORST packing jobs! Send it!

I’m so close to being done buying stuff online. Frame was supposed to be a 20.75” top tube and turns out it’s a 20.25. No padding in the box, box is old and brittle, and the axle poked through. Frame, fork, and bars are all scratched uphttp://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/239554/5be57096-08a4-44b4-9172-4793ac2fd84a5d53303420.jpeg

Re: WORST packing jobs! Send it!

It's just laziness and total disregard when stuff gets shipped out like that. Stuff can still get damaged even when packed well, but changes are greatly reduced when care is taken.

Minimum of frame / bike protection prior to being boxed up.

Give them a neutral or neg their asses!

The below hutch came like Forhisglory's bike did. In a box that was way too big and no packing or protection. I was very lucky and the only damage was the downtube decal and some scratches on the rims from the pedals bouncing around.

When I opened it, it looked almost identical to this.
