Re: WORST packing jobs! Send it!

This one ticked me off tremendously. A nearly new Specialized P2, turned into a turd due to a careless seller.

OMG! CLASSIC! This is too funny that someone is that stupid to ship it like that. I can't help but laugh at it.

I’m surprised usps/fedex whatever would even accept that. I wonder what the driver thought when he saw it.

Re: WORST packing jobs! Send it!

Yep, I had a very similar experience to this one and I was pissed. Mine at least had 8x11 sheets of paper wrapped around the frame. Like that helped prevent the axle damage. roll I wish I would have taken pics of how it arrived.

Re: WORST packing jobs! Send it!

First STR-24 I received came with a big repair:

https://myalbum.com/photo/RbSBTkL4ZWQm/1k0.jpg

Behind that repair (done by SE Dealer) was the front wheel which was bend and damaged, obviously because it had suffered during transport from Advanced Sports to the dealer. The SE Dealer shipped it to me without checking the front wheel.

Then after a lot of hassle I got a full replacement, which arrived like this:

Axle sticking out, SE dealer confirmed he shipped it out like that, what a JERK:
https://myalbum.com/photo/jZm3e9On9CcR/720.jpg

Damages were the crank is:
https://myalbum.com/photo/Fv1pFJHbqRco/720.jpg

And this piece, which normally the fork ends rests in was lying unused near the rearwheel yikes:
https://myalbum.com/photo/Of2Zh9pbvFhv/720.jpg

So the forks had been resting on the bottom of the box without it's usual bottom protection:

Re: WORST packing jobs! Send it!

Bad packing IS the worst, especially if you need something and it arrives damaged.

I am repairing a refrigerator and needed a new plastic fan blade, bought one on ebay, it shows up in a "bubble mailer", of course a blade is broken which does me no good (the seller refunded painlessly, but I needed this blade!). I had an old freezer to scrap, so snagged one off a junk fridge at the scrapyard.

I can't believe what some people deem as OK when packing. I don't care what the packing looks like, as long as it is solid, but some just put items in anythings with no padding etc. yikes

I wondered about what if any feedback should be left after receiving my kuwahara cruiser bars. (They appear at the top of page 2 in this thread). Although packing was both an afterthought and minimal to say the least, the bars arrived in fine shape. An admin and I talked about this and ultimately agreed that I received exactly what I’d purchased. I decided not to leave any feedback at all. That said I’ve posted up the photos of the inadequate packing job of the kuwi bars in a couple of threads that I hope the seller has seen and has hopefully learned something about how not to pack in the future.

Re: WORST packing jobs! Send it!

Recieved a stem recently, it was in a box so thin it almost tore completely open and the stem was dangling out , 1/2" more of ripping and I wouldve got an empty box. It was like cereal box material and no packing at all.
