2013 Star Perseus

Daily rider/local race banger.

2013 (I think) Star Perseus. The year is a guess based on the others in the museum. This one also doesn't say "Perseus" on it, just the top tube length. Bought the frame locally from a guy who won it in a raffle and never built it up. From what I read in forums they were manufactured by Standard Bykes for Star at the time however I cannot find any literature on that, just here say. Regardless its a cool and rather uncommon rig. I use it to get around, hit pump tracks, dirt jumps, and a local race when I can. Just like the bmx bike you had growing up.

Nice. There are a few of these Frames in the Phoenix area and everyone that I have met that has raced them loves them.

I love riding it, it just feels really natural. Thats why I say its like your first bmx bike, just super comfortable geometry, rigid and stiff like you would want from a chromoly frame.

You know I love this frame, having commented on it elsewhere but out of curiosity, how does the bike compare with your equally cool Laird?

The Laird is next level lol. Ive only had it out at a few pump tracks and practice nights. Haven't you ever built a bike so cool you need another bike and a gym membership to feel like you deserve it lol? This Star is a great racer, but they are just built different. The Laird is a little shorter in the rear and a little longer in the front so there is a noticeable difference in how the feel at speed. Both are really good!
