Niceness!! Believe it’s most def an 88.

yup.  88 model.  990's, rear peg bosses and the pro rotor.  87's had spintechs, no rear peg bosses and center pull brake along with a triangle frame stand

Top notch bike Shotgun, glad to see the Decades getting some love!  freedo is right on all counts--that one's an 88.

So after a little bartering, I now have a Decade Pro as well. This one will need a little clean up, but it has most of the correct parts.http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/207817/9a0f9836-07d9-4303-910b-2ed97ba70cd55b37fd4ee9.jpeg

Ditto on the seat for me also. Its a tough one to find for sure.

Love all these decades and I think they are all totally underrated.

Re: ‘87 Mongoose Decade Score:

The OP bike is an '88 for sure (I have a red one).  Mine was built late '87 as well and has '87 codes on the parts.  Mine was 100% survivor when I got it (including tires, tubes, etc. and I still have all the stuff) so I know the stuff is OG...like the dated Vans pads front and rear.

'88 was the only year for the welded rear peg bosses, Tioga stem, Pro Class seat, and CD gear.  Chrome '88's are not really common from what I see (only 4 in the Museum).  Pretty sure there was a choice between mags and spokes in '88 with certain colors only available each way.  The spoked version of the '88 has different hubs (Sealed System) and rims (Pro-Class IV) than 86-87 too...

I think
