Cook Bros Decals How to tell OG FROM REPOP

I recently uncovered a box of stickers/decals from a shed find and am trying to figure out how to tell if the decals are OG or repop . Mainly the Cook Bros. decals . They seem to all be 70-80's Anybody know the difference ? Certain details ?
Thanks , D

Still searching for my missing bikes from BITD. 1979 Blue Max serial: CI9 221346 and 1977 Webco serial: 42667. Both were last seen at Spoke and Sport Bicycles in Spokane, WA around 1984. $600 reward if found!!

Masterstint as well.

BMX Museum: The place where 90% of the members can't ever figure out how to let their pics finish loading before hitting the submit button.

If I hear the words "RARE", "GRAIL", or "SCORE" one more time, I'm gonna f'n puke. ALSO, NOS is NOT a condition description. Being NOS has NOTHING to do with the actual condition of the part.

BMX Museum: where every single "score" thread is followed by a FOR SALE part out thread 15 minutes later.

Remember when the BMX collecting hobby was about the bikes and history? I miss those days before greedy flippers.

The backing tells alot. That 3M imprint has not been used in many decades if I recall correctly - good indicator

Re: Cook Bros Decals How to tell OG FROM REPOP

It seems to be a touchy subject when knowing whats legit /OG and whats not now days . So I have continued my research on these and found some interesting results . I contacted 3M and sent them a couple pics and this is what I was told . Also I posted them for sale on Ebay for a high number just to get feedback for the most part and I sure got some . LOL ! Actually even some decent offers .

I saw one Cook Bros. decal sale on the bay for close to 200 not long ago . It had a plain white backing that was a little dirty . Who can actually say that is legit . If so how do you prove it ? Just sayin .

I would like to hear your thoughts on this finding .

This is the decal / sticker I am trying to determine the age of . I would like to know when this product was first available .

Thank you for your time ,

Dan

Hello
LONG shot here, but have a customer wondering if there's any way we can identify what year this film may be from.   Based on the logo alone, that puts it somewhere between 1961 and 78!   Any idea when the Scotchcal name came into existence, or this film may have been 'born' ?

See photos below - thanks!

Hello Daniel -

Please see response below - - - -

Jerome,

Narrowing the film down to that range is the best we can do.

I would expect the Scotchcal name to be in the 1970’s.

So you can assume between 1970 – 1978.
