Re: Colony Ozone frame!

They aren't using the Ozone name, it's OZ-ONE which is a play on the country of origin (Australia) and "ONE" from the Method One model name seemingly.  I doubt there is a tie but I don't know one way or the other for sure.

I LOVE the NS frame but I wonder why they didn't do the headtube gusset?  Or is it I cant see it in the pic?

Looks like a small gusset under the DT at the HT like most NS bikes.  Pretty sure that's what is meant by "External Gusset on DT" in the frame specs despite that being a fairly nebulously worded spec.

If the frame is designed properly, there is clearance for 25/9 gearing using a good u-brake like EVO-II's.  I prefer SS brake mounts as well but there are a lot of newer frames running CS brakes with micro gearing these days without a problem.

I see...but why not just put them on the SS ?  No make sense for me.

Sometimes it's not a viable option given the spread of the seat stays.  The angle of the seat stays can also lead to lackluster braking performance if it's too sharp of an angle.  In general, the choice was probably to keep it more retro looking but the seat stay width could play a small role in the decision.

Thanks man...Chad at Remorse REALLY went out of his way to do it RIGHT...even when it came to the brakes..I wanted to go with a rollercam set up but decided to go another way..and worked out perfect!..we slammed the postes into the frame making t hem low pro...and then routed the cables like we used to on the OG frames..through the frame with NO cable guides!!http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-image … 297620.jpg
