Re: STR 24” Quadangle

How is SE getting Redline Flights cranks?I thought Redline stopped production on them, unless SE purchased a crapload to stockpile.

I dig the color combo.

Any Performance Bike will have em. They're owned by the same parent company.

I don't get it. Instant sell out epic bike, but if everyone else wants a 24" SE, try our So Cal in one of our new hideous color ways. roll

Yes exactly my thoughts tbh. Looks quite sexy as a 24 as it goes. 26 looked a bit weird.

I like this bike. Very sexy indeed, and you can't beat SE baby blue.

I know.  Smart move, sexy bike, low numbers, supply and demand...  Those other bikes however, are gross.

Re: STR 24” Quadangle

I bought the 26 and it came with mostly generic parts. At least this one comes with SE beartraps and SE hubs. I’m slightly ticked that they cheaped out on the 29 and 26.

Makes no sense why SE did this. This new 24 is ten times the value over the 26,yet it's also cheaper.

You mean Wellgo pedals and cheesy hubs? lol At least it comes with Flights now. How they pulled that off, I'll never figure out.

Yup, i hopped on this Wagon too! Planet had 7 left after I pre-ordered, Friday.

If it rides anything remotely close to the OM, I'll be pretty psyched!

I would have bought one.

Don’t check the internet every day for bikes you have to buy in 1 day.

Yeah it's annoying and it sucks. Mind you, I don't know if you knew what happened with the 2016 24" Quad but I can somewhat understand why SE do this. Basically sales of the 24" Quad tanked, and SE were left sitting on an awful lot of bikes no one wanted to buy. In the end most companies broke them up to sell for parts. So it was quite easy to get a F&F very cheap (I know because I did) but yeah the F&F sets were everywhere. I guess they used the parts to repair customer bikes, given SE do not supply anywhere near enough spares to actually repair their bikes. It's only been about three months that you can actually buy replacement SE tyres here in the UK. God knows what people with Big Rippers and Public Enemy bikes were doing when theirs wore out.

Re: STR 24” Quadangle

^^ Do you mean the 2016 24" Freestyle Quad?

I think that one was hard to sell at list price because of the color combo and a bit to new school'ish perhaps?

I do have one now, I pulled the trigger only until it dropped in price good enough to not let it pass.

I reserved an STR-24 now too, and I quess this one won't be able to grab at discounted price later on. lol

I'm very excited about this STR-24" even though I wasn't excited at all about the 26 and 29 versions....I guess the gold/baby blue  hits the sweetspot and I favour the 24" frame size in Quadangle style anyway over it's bigger brothers. (In 26" OM Flyer can't be beaten IMHO). cool

Been there, done that in The Eighties as a kid.
