Fully Custom PiR frame I had made last year.  The f/f/b were finished in GT dayglo orange.

SOOOO SWWWEEEETTTT! A design masterpiece ....
And those Bars would sell like CrAzY if mass produced.

Cool thread idea Matt!  I think I’ve got a few I can contribute from the present and past.

Thanks Josh, so many rad bikes on this site, and so many oldschool guys with really good taste in bike style, at least similar taste in late 80’s era stuff, and seeing everyone’s take on new school bikes is wicked.  The throwback touches are always cool, but some of the full newschool builds that are well thought out to look cool are sick, this thread turned out better than I thought, already a ton of cool new school rides in one thread.

Hopefully you can add your next build soon, like to see some new camo!! Lol

Thanks. Means a lot coming from you too ! It was kinda crazy but I think it is going to work. The frame switches blue and purple depending on the light and angle, and the fork was brand new and cost me £40. About 1/3 of the RRP. So that was my mind made up to add the yellow stuff. I could have painted them (weather is banging here ATM) but they just looked so beautifully finished.

2013 Subrosa DTT, this was my first new school build with a lot of throwback touches.

Sick, makes me wish my white 9 tooth skyway mags didn’t fall thru.  Still want a set to put on a new build.

Crazy but you are correct it’s rad looking.  For my next one I want to build a maroon bike with neon yellow accents, but after seeing your bike I’m positive I want to build a maroon bike with a neon yellow fork, maybe neon yellow hubs laced to gold rims... Damn it this thread has got the wheels turning for my next build faster than my wallet can afford, haha.

lol Yeah this place can be your best friend and your worst enemy at the same time big_smile What I did with this was basically scour Ebay/Facebook etc. I got some killer bargains. In fact, this is probably the cheapest bike I've built to date. Yet I have had tons of fun hunting down the parts. Can't wait to meet Carlo to get it signed too, and get a tour of IMG/Proper. That will be a day to remember smile

That’s awesome! It’ll be a while before I build another one, probably Bargan building too, until then the ideas will be turning, definitely digging that yellow fork!

I'm currently working on two. Both new school.. One was supposed to be finished over Xmas but I had drive nightmares.. I finally got a new BB and drive train on it yesterday.

http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/41840/dsc004155af17c1c6a.jpg

I need to take the wheel in for lacing. Thing is, this bike has thrown up absolutely every problem you could have. I test rode the bike with the tyres at 60 PSI (I start gradually) and get home and notice there is a bulge in the back tyre edge. So I contact the guy I bought the tyres from (Custom Riders) and I am just being taken around the block tbh. They have passed the buck onto Fly, who have had nearly two weeks and no reply. Getting pissed tbh, they were the most expensive bloody tyres you could buy too yikes I think what pisses me off more is that the place who sold them to me seem to think it's up to Fly to fix. I didn't buy the tyres from bloody Fly I bought them from you !!!

So yeah, as of tomorrow the legal threats start. So sick of companies not taking care of their problems.

My new school bikes. All were built from a bare frame so not something you can go out and buy unless you build from scratch. Gives ya some ideas though.
