Re: Anyone carry a complete jet fuel bike??

If you're gonna go the individual parts route, might as well go unique:

Re: Anyone carry a complete jet fuel bike??

I hate this thread...  I keep thinking about getting a jet fuel bike now!  they look so awesome  big_smile

So what is the process on this anyway?  Could a guy get one of his own frames jet fueled?  Like my 91' performer for example?  That would be something so different, to get an old school frame jet fueled...

I will say I have always loved the "jet fuel" look on spokes.....its just enough that it adds some flare.

Re: Anyone carry a complete jet fuel bike??

When I built my JDB Trick Star I was gonna use jet fuel parts but it would've been too pricey.

I have the non-guard variant.  If he really wants one & can't find it, he can PM me.  I swapped mine out for a Salt with the same design, but in purple.

Re: Anyone carry a complete jet fuel bike??

This is about as far as I got with Jet Fuel.

http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/41840/xzadgdm5aeaea38b9.jpg

At the time of buying it it was the most expensive stem on the site I bought it from. It's a Mutant Rio V2. It was dropped from £130 to about £80 in a Xmas sale so I grabbed it. Usually (here in the UK at least) jet fuel parts cost about 30% more than just the same part in a single colour. So I would usually avoid them like the clap, as colour really isn't that important to me.

They are nice though, and hopefully at some point in the future the prices will drop so they are more in line with other parts.

I had it on my Torker, but there's enough going on with that bike as it is.  Purple matches the other parts better.  And in fact, the only reason I got that sprocket in the first place, was because I wanted something 3 spoke with 28t--and that was about all I could find.  Wasn't till later that I got a deal on a ripsaw for my Subrosa and the trident for my Torker.

Re: Anyone carry a complete jet fuel bike??

Yeah, must admit to wanting a bit of jet fuel/oil slick action in my bmx life one day! Member "crash test dumby" had some cool Eastern stuff for sale on here a few months ago and Snafu does some cool-looking parts. I like these forks:-

These were the Eastern parts that “c.t.d” was selling. No idea if they sold but man, they’re cool

I really don't see what the desire for jet fuel, oil slick, neo chrome finish is about.

The only cool jet fuel I've ever seen were some crazy 19" rims imported from Japan.
