1984 Redline Prostyler

FAVORITE BIKE TO RIDE

I PURCHASED THIS BIKE OUT OF MARYLAND OFF THE ORIGINAL OWNER. HE GOT IT WHEN HE WAS 15 AND RODE IT TILL HE WAS 18 THEN PASSED IT ON TO HIS YOUNGER BROTHER FOR A FEW YEARS. THANKFULLY IT ENDED UP IN HIS MOTHERS ATTIC TILL HE WAS FORCED TO MOVE IT TO HIS HOUSE AT 43. THATS WHEN HE DECIDED TO POST IT ON CRAIGSLIST. I FOUND THE AD AT 2 AM AND MADE AN OFFER.
-SO ORIGINAL DECALS WERE GONE WHEN I GOT IT SO I DID ADD NEW ONES

-ORIGINAL PEREGRINE MAGS WERE REPLACED BACK IN 1988 BY THESE MINT RL EDGE 48’S WITH FREE COASTER SUNTOUR HUB
-I CHANGED THE ORIGINAL OPC WITH SOME REDLINE SINGLE PINCH HALF WRAPS, REDLINE BUBBLE FONT 43T CHAINWHEEL, AND AN IZUMI CHAIN
-ADDED SURVIVOR SHIMANO DX PEDALS
-WASN’T A FAN OF THE STU BARS SO I ADDED THESE SURVIVOR WHITE FORKLIFTER RACE BARS
-ADDED REPOP PADS TO PROTECT THE JEWS ALSO RED A’ME’S AND RED CABLES
-POLISHED THE BROKEN ARROW AND THE GOUGED UP FORKLIFTER STEM AND MANAGED TO RETAIN THE OG REDLINE PRINT
SHORTLY AFTER I GOT THE BIKE AS IT SITS, I SENT THE ORIGINAL OWNER A FEW PICS. HE WAS BLOWN AWAY AND SO HAPPY IT FOUND A GOOD HOME
THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY RIDE

Nicely done. I'm not surprised the original owner was blown away.
