1987 Redline RL-20II

My 87 RL-20ii in 88 Mango with chrome rear end

I purchased this 87 RL20ii in OG chrome from Jriedmiller and wanted to preserve the finish, so SuperBike Dan powdered over it without etching the chrome in 88 Mango (my favourite colour-way), but left the rear end chrome as I preferred this over the 88 painted rear ends.
I also chose to build this bike as a rider using a few parts that RL Osborn used during the Redline, General and Bully eras of his career.

Special thanks to Jriedmiller, Islander, JRBikes and Superbike Dan for bringing my Redline dream to life!

Parts:

Frame - Redline RL 20II (Mango)
Bars - Bully bars (Mango)
Levers - Dia Compe Tech 7 (Black/Chrome)
Gyro - Gyro O2
Grips - ODI Mushroom II (Black/White)
Calliper Front - Nippon (Chrome)
Calliper Rear - Odyssey Pitbull (Polished)
Stem - ACS 55 Slant (Chrome)
Headset - YST (Black)
Seat - Dynamax (White)
Seat clamp - Odyssey Pozi Stop (Chrome)
Seat Post - Odyssey (Chrome)
Crank - Redline 401 Flight  (Chrome)
Chainring - Redline Compact Disc 44T (White)
Wheels - Araya Aero 48’s with Redline/Sansin hubs
Tyres - IRC Freestyle Pro  (Black)
Pegs - Tioga Roll On (White)
Pedals - MKS Graphite X (Black)

LOVIN' THIS BIKE!!!

I've NEVER seen a Pitbull mounted like that.

That's a tricked out set up for sure.

Re: 1987 Redline RL-20II

honestly probably the nicest RL20II I think I've ever seen on here.  Nice to see a build where the seat isn't jacked up 2' as well!  wink

Re: 1987 Redline RL-20II

so did you have to bend the gyro tabs slightly to get the gyro to work with the frame?
