2000 Haro Mirra Flair

Main rider. Built to bash and bashed she has been.

The story of this builds begins with a statement made by the wife in 2015.
"I want a BMX bike like I had when I was a kid."Game on. I had been out of the game since the early 90s when I was sportin a GT PFT. I had no clue what was available anymore.  eBay....Doing some searching I figured I'd be comfortable on an old school 80s F/F.Found that old school GTs and Haros were PRICEY!! Ended up running into an 86 Redline RL20B. Got pretty excited about it and waited 2 days for payday to order it up. Kept making sure the frame was still available each day. There it was. Friday came.... Redline sold.$#!+@$#!!!!!!!!Scroll scroll scroll.... what's this? I know who Dave Mirra is, I mean even being away from BMX, Mirra, the king of the xgames, is pretty much a household name. 2000 Mirra Flair F/F.Hmmmm. Ok. *click*  Bought it now. Ok.... Now parts. What's available. No frickin clue. Long story short, this is what I end up with. After 3 sets of rims, 2 sets of tires, 2 stems, 2 chainwheels, 3 seatposts, 2 seats, and 2 sets of brakes, I have a hodgepodge pile of parts that rides smoother that hot buttered silk in the noon sun in July. 2000 Mirra Flair frame and forkAraya Super 7x 48s spinning on sealed female Haro MegasRedline Flight cranks, chainwheel, and pedals.MJ Cycles micro adjust seatpostMirra Pro seatPrimo V MonstersHaro 1978 stemOld school kneesaversNew Hombre rim crushers 996TWBlack Ops hinged and forged levers.Lizard Skin gripsCustom Mirra decal I had made by a lettering specialist for 18 wheelers. All Odyssey cables on the original ORYG.
This is my Franken-Tank.But who knows... It may change again next week.
Side note.... The wife has herself an all original 2001 GT Power Series.

Thank you sir. Considering I was just building a rider, I wasn't concerned at all with original parts or restoration. Although, truth be told, I have been trying to find some original parts for it but this particular year is proving difficult to source. Meh.... I'll just continue to beat the crap out of it. Lol
