1994 Redline RL 340

The Frankenstein build "I" always wanted smile

This was my dream bike when I was a kid. Finally built it. It's a mish-mash of parts I thought were rad back in the day. I just felt drawn to these brands, and looks for no real functional reason. It rides nice. It probably won't make much sense to anyone else smile
Redline Prostyler frame "tribute" (it's actually a 94'ish RL 340). Working on finding an actual Prostyler I like.

Re: 1994 Redline RL 340

I like the SKYWAY MAG wheel with the front spoked wheel, I actually used to see a lot more of that when I was a kid.
Was it maybe because they couldn't find a matching rim after destroying it??....or maybe because it just looked different??
I could never figure it out as a tiny, punk kid!

Re: 1994 Redline RL 340

Hey Mint_Inc,

My "rationale" on it (back when) was that a mag in the rear would provide additional strength to handle hard rear wheel landings (I was slightly bigger than most average riders). But, I also think it was just cheaper to buy a single mag to replace the rear and keep the spoked front wheel that came with the bike?

Either way, I was always a big fan of that look smile

Thanks! I knew there had to be a reason.
