Re: 1997 Badd & Company 24

Hot Rod!!!

Hutch Fun Facts: All main line Hutch's with digits only S/N (no letters or baseballs) on the rear drop outs were US made and had their dropouts stamped between late '83 and '86.  Obviously the frame manufacture would occur slightly after that, even if they just threw 'em in a bucket randomly.  There is an obvious date code in that the first 2 digits seem to be the month and the 3rd digit is pretty obviously the last digit of the year running from '83-'86.

Re: 1997 Badd & Company 24

the profile parts package is a nice touch. i have the same profile package on my 96 floval minus the bars and add a stem.  this is a winner for sure.

Awesome bike.  I would definitely run Profile bars on my PR Cruiser if it weren’t for the rise being so low.  How tall are you, and do you typically ride this bike?

Re: 1997 Badd & Company 24

Thanks for the props lads, she has quickly become a favourite.
Perront- I’m 5-9’ and this will be my main family ride bike, with either a trailer or kids seat attached.
I haven’t ridden it properly yet (only round the block) due to having a broken wrist from a decent accident.
Bars are a very low rise, just on 5 inches.
Once I’m back on the bikes properly I’ll report back.
Now, I’ve read a few various things online in regards to ‘some’ early Badd frames being very similar to widowmakers, and how the rear wheel can’t be slammed. I assumed it was in regards to the early Badd/widow maker frames from B&E.
I’ve got a 1.85 dirt monster on the back, and I’ve had to set the rear wheel 2/3 back in the drop to clear the frame..
I was under the impression that these rupe built frames from later 90’s would’ve been built on different jig’s, but maybe not.
Not sure what I’m getting at here, just putting it out there I guess.
If anyone can shed some light, that’d be awesome info
Thanks

Re: 1997 Badd & Company 24

I have the same exact frame.  Also a racing plate.  The decals were designed by .... I'm going from memory, but karl klein (not sure on spelling but I'll take a look later) of the Big Knobby Squad.  I had a 20 but sold it last year.  I also have some info that may be hard to find online anymore....

Great info mate, and thanks a bunch for sharing it here. Info on the web is very scarce for some reason.
Got any other badd gear lurking around? I’ve got a 97 badd 20 as well that’s nearly done (will list it here shortly)

Re: 1997 Badd & Company 24

I have some stuff I printed out about 10 years ago.  I'll take pictures of the pages and put them up for you.  Theres probably 4-5 pages worth.

Also, the frame is/was known as the Badd "Revolution"
