Help please on my Madison BMX

Hi All,
I got the bug Now to find my bike that I bought myself back in the early eighties and restore it like original.
I can’t remember when I bought it exactly as I was around the age of 6-7 years old. The reason I know this is I lived at that house I’ve got photos of till 82-83 and we moved. I do remember the bike very well as it was a Madison Team type and I remember the gooseneck, seat and seat pole and the tuffs were ones I’ve never seen before. Can anyone help me with as much information as possible or even where I can start looking as I’m struggling to find any information on this bike. Is there a way of me attaching a photo of the bike?

Re: Help please on my Madison BMX

Are you located in Australia?  Your search might be a little easier, but not by much.  The 3 I currently own, I had to import from Oz.  Here’s a nice site that might give you a little info- lixbmx.com/madison-taipan

Re: Help please on my Madison BMX

I am in Australia. I’ve shown a couple people my bike, and they haven’t seen my particular model. I’ll have to do a bit more research. Thanks everyone for welcoming and help.

Your scans a very blurry, but it looks as if you’re bike is a stick tail.  Since the Madison Taipan model all have loop tails, that’s out.

1978-81 Madison models with a stick tail rear end include the MXDR, MXR20 & MXR

Here’s are the Madison bikes on this site- http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/search?q=&am … %5B%5D=502

Re: Help please on my Madison BMX

Thanks. I can't recall anything like MXDR or taipan, but i do recall it was a Madison bike with all the pads in red and white with TEAM written on there. And now I'm trying to locate these type of tuffs.
Probably source everything now on my holidays and start the rebuild in the new year.
