I've had a few..

80 pk ripper frame- bought him a six pack for it. It was my uncles, he found it in the rafters of a shed on a property he bought. Wiped the mold off of it and put it on eBay with a starting price of 0.01http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/234558/img_862759fb246dd4.jpg

The NOS PPP stem listed for $90 or so from years back was the best.

I traded a pair of lower end mtb's and 86 bucks for a Thruster 24 with great parts on it.  Sold the parts for $2600 so far and still have some parts

Re: Best deal in the history of the Museum

Other things of note... nice yellow/grey 1988 Haro Sport f/f for $125 shipped.

Also I spotted a set of mint white DC Tech 7 levers on decent old Schwinn Predator had up for sale in the $125-150 range shipped. I sat on it for a couple days and was amazed it was still there when I finally pulled the trigger.

This was $125 i remember it like yesterday. The og owner said he had it for 6 months before he got his drivers license and pretty much never rode it again.

Re: Best deal in the history of the Museum

about 4 years ago while the Super Bowl was on a seller posted a white 86 Haro Master all original with all the best parts including the Group 1 cranks for just $1275 shipped. in the package he included a Haro uniform with pads he said was worn by Dave Nourie during the World Tour.

since the post was put up during the game alot of would be dibbers missed it and were bummed. about an hour or later i started getting all thes pm's from members saying nice grab, or wow!, or,wanting parts and asking me what i was gonna do with it. i still have the uniform.

i am not saying its the best grab ever but i am pretty proud of that pick up.

Re: Best deal in the history of the Museum

This year member Marc sold a JMC frame, fork and bars on here for $600.
The bars alone were promptly relisted for $700 I believe.
