Re: Wheels..........Of the day
I was wondering if anybody else ordered gold anodized hubs from Bullseye around 1978 and you were expecting gold and you got this orange color? Did that happen to you too?

from what I remember they came in that orange-colored not until in the 80s like 82 or 83. I think they turned actual color gold? I said that on Facebook and have them crawl up my ass..

just some I have laying around on bikes

http://bmxmuseum.com/image/dans_bikes_f … blowup.jpgthe hardest part of the build was the wheels. twist lacing looks cool but sucks to true it. you can only do a half a turn at a time. its a pain but it looks cool. gave up on twisting front wheel went with radial lace. on font. back hub is a NOS Peregrine coaster brake freewheel , spokes are stainless steal rims are Peregrine HP super pro, the front hub is SUZI sealed bearing same as a Peregrine but it has a STANDERD Byks INDUSTRY axle in it. most of the wheel parts/stuff came from member polanco tires are ACS RL edge front is 20 2.00 back is 20 175.

I ran a converted suntour for years. Had about a crank and a half of slack but it got the job done.

Re: Wheels..........Of the day
Upgrade by circumstance! I'm building a CalCruiser this winter and couldn't find any decent used wheels locally. I decided to use the old wheels off my chrome 26 because they were exactly what I needed for the CalCruiser build, so it gave me the opportunity to upgrade the wheels on the chrome 26. Arrived last week and mounted a few days ago, now rolling on TNT 1st Gen Retro Hubs with Sun RL Polished Rims and White 17T FW. These are the wheels that should have been on it when I built it last year but couldn't afford it at the time...
