GT Pacific Flyer: Anyone have one?
I recently picked up a sort of Beach cruiser esque GT Pacific Flyer. Mine came without wheels and other various parts. I have some decent early mountain bike parts. I'm thinking of making it a sporty 26" cruiser with gears.
What says the bmxmuseum?
Used to be into Old school race bikes, now im only into Mid school Haros for the most part.

Yep,these are great bikes, sounds like you have the 6 speed model. Here is mine.
The blue bike is not the same bike in my bikes,i had 2 of them a few years ago.I can't get a pic of that bike as it is in my old camera with a dead battery.

Re: GT Pacific Flyer: Anyone have one?
I scored this hottie last summer...customized some parts, I am still basking in the afterglow.
before:
after:
I added new Big Honkin Cruiser bars, new Vans grips, new fat Snakebelly tires, new valve caps, new(but old stock) Vetta leather seat, old VP beartrap pedals.
The rest is OG even the cables!
The ride is amazing. Might be my favorite bike to ride.

hmmmm.
I dont know what these were marketed as back in the 80's but but I will say that it is a very comfortable bike to ride-- the small front triangle gives the bike a smaller and more responsive/manageable feel, as compared to some of the 80s mens beach cruisers cruisers I have, which feel quite tall by comparison.
or mayby....
THATS WHY all the girls wanna ride my bike!

I like this better.
I am on the shorter side. 5'-7"...great fit for me.
tho I wouldn't mind getting one of those 3-bars for my collection one day....

These are cool bikes. Has anyone thought about putting a banana seat on one? The frame looks like a Schwinn Stingray frame.
