1994 Iron Horse Typhoon

1994 or 95 Iron Horse Typhoon 4130

My dad bought this bike for me when I was 12 years old. In either 1994 or 1995. I remember it was under 300$ shipped from Dans comp. Within a couple of years I had it torn down and the parts on other bikes. Of all the bikes ive bought and sold , the frame , fork , bars and stem were always in my grandmothers garage. 20+ years late im very happy to have this together.
TNT wheelset
Jive tentacle grips and nuts
Odyssey triple traps and race brake line
Comp 3 repops
Redline flights and 44t
The bike is mainly in its final form except a proper seatpost clamp (and shim needed) and lever. If anyone has any suggestion on what a correct , affordable period seatclamp and lever would fit , I would really appreciate the suggestion.
Also , I need some new stem bolts badly.
Thanks for looking !!!

Re: 1994 Iron Horse Typhoon

I recently picked up some mid-school magazines and have been reading about these funky-looking frames for the first time. Great that you kept yours all this time.

Check out my 1983 VDC-built Trident, 1983 Kuwi Laserlite, 2010 GT Ultrabox 2, 2011 Crupi race rig and prototype Quamen, plus the all things Crupi & old school scene in Japan threads. Always interested in buying used, mid-school race plates and pads - UGP, Knucklebone, Lizard Skins, Pryme and the like, me like!!

Thank you ! Im super stoked to have it back rolling.

Iron Horse advertised heavily in the magazines during the mid-90s.
Lots of back page adverts and whatnot. I have a feeling thats why they were always included in the "shootout" and "best of for under" type articles.
