Re: Todays Ride.

I Changed out the z rims for some mags so my 200+ pound ass can thrash my Haro sport and yes they are for sale in blue, I ripped it up on the boardwalk in Long Beach NY for the first time since I had the bike because it came with the z rims.http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/223077/dc10535b-68ca-4df4-8af9-1233c5262ca55d9a7a0b77.jpeg

Re: Todays Ride.

Just spent six days riding my Skyway cruiser on the GAP (Great Allegheny Passage) and C&O Canal tow path trails. I rode with my friend Jeff. The total length of the ride was 334.5 miles. We left Point Park in Pittsburgh on the 4th about 730 am heading for Connellsville. (59 miles) We had beautiful fall weather. Riding along the Casselman river was my favorite part of the GAP trail. On day two we rode to Rockwood Pa and Camped. (45 miles) We enjoyed some Yuenglings and a camp fire. http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/226637/one5da06adeb3.jpg

Re: Todays Ride.

On the third day we had gray skies with rain. We made our way to the Eastern Continental Divide and the Big Savage Tunnel. After that we had an easy ride down to Cumberland and the end of the GAP trail. The trail drops 1,754 feet. We had a good lunch at the Manhattan Social restaurant in Cumberland. We then started our journey on the C&O Canal tow path. We made our way to Pawpaw West Virginia in on and off rain. (72 miles) http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/226637/gap-seven5da06cfe0e.jpg

Re: Todays Ride.

We left Pawpaw on Monday in heavy rain. We started a short distance from the Pawpaw tunnel which is .6 of a mile long and has no lights. Luckily Jeff had the foresight to bring a flash light. Our goal for day four was Shepherdstown WV. (84 miles) We switched to the paved Western Maryland Rail Trail in an effort to make better time. It is directly above the C&O tow path. Despite the rain I saw some beautiful scenery. We had vegetable crab soup at Weaver's restaurant in Hancock MD for lunch. Early evening had us riding in heavy rain still north of our goal of Shepherdstown. Jeff's bike then suffered a flat rear tire. By the time we had Jeff's bike repaired I was wet and cold. With the daylight fading, we headed to Williamsport. We rode about a mile into town and found a Red Roof Inn. I never thought of a Red Roof Inn and waffle house as an oasis, but after 57 miles of biking on a rough tow path in heavy rain, it was.http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/226637/co-one5da06d6b17.jpg

Re: Todays Ride.

Tuesday morning we had gray skies, but only a sprinkle or two of rain. I enjoyed riding though Big Slack water and the numerous canal locks. I especially enjoyed arriving in Harper's Ferry WV. We had lunch and continued on to Brunswick MD. (45 miles)http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/226637/co-four5da06df8e3.jpg
