Re: Todays Ride.

Work was closed due to freezing rain and ice pellets. So I got to try out the knobbies. Mother nature decided when it was time yo turn back. the river dumped ice chunks on the trail as far as I could see so I didnt bother trying to hike passed it.

Oh I agree about the frame! It's actually my holy grail bike. When I was 19 I had already switched to mountain bikes for a couple years I worked at a bike shop and one of these was sitting on the showroom floor with the blue rims and bars. Thought it was the most awesome looking bike ever. Could have got a deal on it as I worked there. But I bought books for school. Still kicking myself. Found this one a couple years ago for $50 with garbage parts on the frame. Only part I kept was the Fusion seat post. Reason I called it an abomination is I put all new school parts on it. Fully sealed bearings and added the front brake because I grew up riding trails on my BMX and when I was 19 I remember thinking "If it only had a cantilever brake on the front". Mechanically it is pretty much what it would have ended up being if I never quit riding and kept it as a rider.

Re: Todays Ride.

Had to drop the little audi A3 to be serviced, and it was a cold but gorgeous morning, so either drop off and train back, or roof down, OM in the back, drop off and ride home. Only about 8 miles so nothing to exerting....
Started off here at the sea wall, about a few hundred yards from the car place, so got a few nice shots on the industrial type scraggly little beach on the estuary of the river Thames  - some cool photos, even if I do say so myself....lol Even snuck in a little selfie so you can put a mug shot to the freak who keeps posting.....big_smile

And then a few more out in the sticks of Essex, in little old blighty on my way home....hope you like, was a great morning for a ride, had a blast, loved it.

The only way you would disappoint is if you changed your avatar pic!!! The weather seems pretty warm,I myself is waiting for warmer days to go for a ride as well.
