1987 Skyway Street Beat

Harder to find, 86 style with 990 mounts!

I love the mix of 86 and 88 styles on this "transition" model. I had a complete of this red/white version before but sold it and regretted selling it immediately. Picked up a beat-up f/f to just have on display and then shortly after this one came up. Most of the parts are original to the bike but have been redone to color match a bit more with the red/white.  Really good job was put into the re-powder, too.  The f/f are OG paint.
I really wanted the Gray/Blue version with 990s & I had a NOS complete but had to let it go.  I kept the og chain/freewheel/post from it and now have them on this Beat.  So, at this point I figured I just need to find an 86 Beat so I can have one of each year. big_smile

Re: 1987 Skyway Street Beat

Let me know if you have any questions about this bike, I built it up several years ago. Purchased the complete NOS from another member here but it was severely UV faded. I had C4 Labs powdercoat the brakes, cranks, stem, steat clamp, etc...for me in the custom colors. Bars had to be powdercoated too because of scratching. Paint on frame and fork is original but I had to replace the decals and recreate the serial number on the bottom bracket.

I sold it to a guy in CA on ebay complete. I saw he was sadly parting it out on ebay about a year ago.

Yep.  He was telling me about you but couldn't find your info.  I like to know the history of the bikes.

After he realized I was going to keep it together he sold it to me complete to keep it that way.

Thanks for the pics! cool
