When i ride a 24 - that feels like a BMX to me - has the feel of 20's when i was a kid.

I roll on old skool 20's all the time on our 4130 SUBWAY SERIES rides out here in LA.

I have numerous 20's and 24's and also a couple of 26" FAT RIPPERS - I have to say the fat rippers are great for cruising and you can bash them around too

I’m 6ft at 200lbs, when I ride anything smaller than a 26” or 29”c, I imagine people probably just think I got a duo or can’t afford a car Lol

I bought the SE Beast mode ripper 27.5 and it’s awesome, anxiously awaiting that orange 29” pro performer and pink 26” so I can scoop them both. But I’m mostly cruising to the gym or wheelies, so I don’t need small bikes

It’s irritating that GT claims to not know what colors or when they will be offered. I know they know

I’m down with the looks for this bike big time. Yellow is such a classic performer color and that blue anno mallet stem is bananas but 29”?  I don’t know about 26”’s. I’ve got 20’s and a 24 and I’m 5-6 so I’ll probably never know unless I ride someone else’s. But it looks nice.

GT isn't making these bikes for you to go out and ride like you did your 20" 30yrs ago. They are making them for all you poser , old , fat asses......lol......

us poser fat asses were real bmxers back in the 80s that’s why they are making these retro bikes for the OG’s that rode them back in the day

US availability at City Grounds
Black or Red 29 (cheaper cranks and sprocket, maybe more)

https://www.citygrounds.com/collections … 8335729775

Blue 29

Pink or green 26

https://www.citygrounds.com/collections … 8216585327

Lavender 26 (on sale)

I won't lie, I own a 24 SE Freestyle Quadrangle, a 26 SE Blocks Flyer, and a 29" Big Ripper.  I'm 5'9" and 230 lbs.  Since letting myself get out of shape, the 26 and 29 are great to roll around and ride some miles.  As far as bunny hopping a curb, I haven't tried to, yet.  I know I could not come close to jumping the boxes like the earlier post without a small launch ramp and even then I would be nervous. I know it is possible, but it would take time dedicated to riding one daily and adjusting to the difference.
As far as these newer GT models, I like the fact that they have internal headsets and mid BB compared to the SE press in headsets and Euro BB.  I like the cranks better on the GT's, but the black and red appear to be similar to the junk on the SE models.

I keep buying and selling, so I guess I wasn't happy with the four I had left.

I can tell you this. My yellow 29" Performer is a little on the heavy side in comparison to my 29" SEs (Chromoly vs. 6061)
However, the GT came bone stock with really good parts on it, and it has never given me a minute's trouble.

I think the only part I would swap on any of the GT cruisers would be the pedals, but only because I like metal platform style. I can only compromise if the PC pedals have metalpins like the Stolen Thermalite pedals.

That’s the first thing I did. Those plastic pedals are bullcrap!

Yes, I think it's better in a separate thread.
