I have a 29" mountain bike. I don't see the appeal in this though.

Probably heavy as all.....

I don't see it taking away market share from the Big Ripper.

I would rather see this in a race style frame. Either way too big for me. Probably fun to cruise around on though.

Re: 2018 GT Pro Performer 29" BMX Bike ?! too big?

I'm 6-3 and i think all 29ers are too big and look goofy

When i ride a 24 - that feels like a BMX to me - has the feel of 20's when i was a kid.

I roll on old skool 20's all the time on our 4130 SUBWAY SERIES rides out here in LA.

I have numerous 20's and 24's and also a couple of 26" FAT RIPPERS - I have to say the fat rippers are great for cruising and you can bash them around too

Looking for  - Blue anno TUF NECK seat clamp 1 1/8th" - or i have a black one or silver one of the same size to trade

my problem when I try old school front fork freestyle tricks pedals hit the front tire . on my 26" Haro freestyle bike. so GT thought the answer or fix  these issues are even bigger tires and bigger frame lol

I had a 29" mountain bike and rode it once. It was ridiculous. Wheels were far too big.

Re: 2018 GT Pro Performer 29" BMX Bike ?! too big?

Seems like we're all in agreement - TOO BIG

Spoke to a guy on the new 29" STR QUAD the other day - said his shoes hit the front tire - side note - the chrome on the bars was real thin on his

Looks like they want to grab a slice of the inner city wheelie pie....that market just be fairly large and if it gets kids on bmx style bikes I'm all for it

Please.....no Tuff Wheels on full on race bikes...original graphite’s only and pre 81
Let me guess you were factory sponsored in
the 80’s...

Re: 2018 GT Pro Performer 29" BMX Bike ?! too big?

Im 6'0 200lbs and have been torn between getting a 24 or a 26. Wasn't sure what to do. Sounds like a 24" may be the way to go. 29 definately doesn't appeal to me

I'm no pro. I work 60 hrs a week. I ride for fun and exercise. Old school BMX are the coolest bikes out there IMO. Just keeping the dream alive.

Re: 2018 GT Pro Performer 29" BMX Bike ?! too big?

I did like the BR, was a great cruiser but as said above it just doesn't look quite right, the wheels are out of proportion to the rest of it, they just look too big - but I did like riding it, cool cruiser. a lot of folks like em as they seem to sell pretty well. Personally 26 is big enough.
