What bike of yours is your best rider?

http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/200821/image593b1c0e18.jpg
I have about 8 bikes total and they range from my childhood Huffy Pro Thunder 2 to early geese to mid school GT' s. I like them all for different reasons and give them all saddle time when I can. My question is which bike that you "ride" feels the best geometry wise? For me, even though I only had one bike as a kid, my huffy, and have one back again, my best rider is my '85 Mongoose Californian followed closely by my '96 Mongoose expert pro. Everything just feels perfect on them when I am zipping down the road. What is your best rider?

I am currently building a '96 Dyno nitro that may nudge out my geese though.

Re: What bike of yours is your best rider?

The best bike I ever rode was my '98 Quadangle. It was just so stupidly light and you got serious air on it. I liked that it was long, as landings were very smooth with the extended rear end. I also used to love riding my Schwinn Hydramatic. It was really heavy but I'm not sure what I prefer for riding from A-B. It felt very sturdy underneath you, if that makes sense.

My new (2007) quad is a delight to ride too. Feels very stiff and responsive. I also opted for a 42T chainring, so it gets up to speed nice and fast smile

It's a toss up between my 2002 Redline PL 24 and my 2005 SuperCross Devo Pro 24... Both are smooth as silk and very responsive... big_smile

Re: What bike of yours is your best rider?

For cruisers, I really like my 1986 Hutch XL24. I beat the crap out of this bike on a regular basis. Sometimes I enter it on bike shows and it also fetches trophies so it's dual purpose. The Hutch cranks hold up fine and the 2n1 stem stiffner doesn't flex much. I put an S&M Perfect 10 bars so it's easier to pull up on jumps, plus I already bent the original Hutch bars. I do get weird looks at the skatepark with this bike, but I guess they're just not used to seeing someone with a frame pad.

For 20" it's my Hutch Pro Raider! It's the best, most durable Hutch ever made and has awesome geometry. I regularly jump and race mine and it's seen a lot of crashes over the years. Not a single crack!

Re: What bike of yours is your best rider?

I really think there or those of us who have a favorite bike because its rare, expensive, childhood bike etc. But I also think that we have a favorite rider that may not be in the previous mentioned categories. It's the one you grab when you know you want to take a good cruise or go trailing.

Re: What bike of yours is your best rider?

Got a few midschool race gts and a couple new school rigs. The new rides so much better than any of the older stuff for street cruisin and baby stunts. Took me a while to pull the trigger on n/s but they're all around better riders. For long haul cruising a 96 speed series 24 is my fave.

Riding resets my stress level, its lead to allot of new friendships and I'm grateful for that. Esp the local crew!

I own 6 bikes and my favorite rider has to be the 96 speed series. It fits me extremely well. Track or long rides.. hell, I've been known to take it to the skate park lol

I find my 85 Cali too short laid back post and all.

I ride / have ridden every bike in my bikes - admittedly the micro mini felt a bit sketchy lol
