1985 VDC Freestyler

VDC Freestyler "BACK FROM THE DEAD"

I saw this weird looking frame/fork at a local bike shop back in 1985 for the small fee of 175 bucks , had to have it. Gave it a spin for a year or so then let it go to a friend. That friend put it to the test and ended up cracking the seat mask, welded it up(very ugly weld job) and eventually selling it .30 years later that same friend was walking down his street where he lives and where we grow up , saw a frame/fork hanging in someone's garage, asked if he could take a look at it? Men at the house said yes so my friend asked if he would like to sell it? Men said yes. How much? 25 Dollars smile Ends up being the same frame/fork that he welded and I purchased in 85.....So to make a long story short I end up getting it from him sending it off to Chip at C4 to fix (new seat mask ,top tube and powdered VDC black (original chrome). Thanks to: Voris Dixion for the original frame/fork decals (saved them) SeaJayEmm (member) for custom Frame/Fork Decals (awesome Mrmagoo720(member) for some parts Tom Cory (member) pedals NoPosers15 (member) Gyro

Re: 1985 VDC Freestyler

Your a lucky man. I bet all of us would love to have our old bike back. I built a "kind of replica" of an old bike  but would so much rather "my" old bike.

I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness............-Emo Philips
