1982 Hutch Pro Racer

SOLD Aug 2017,  19.5 top tube does nothing for me,  just couldnt get into this build.
Found this listed as a vague Craigslist ad,I saw a looptail and went to check it out.  Hutch across the brake bridge when I got there.   Had to buy all the bike stuff the guy had to get the frame.

Stripped the paint off,  chrome is hazy but zero rust or damage on this frame.   Been like this for a year. Not sure on a build plan yet, doubt it will be a catalog build as the frame would need rechromed.

Re: 1982 Hutch Pro Racer

Thinking a non traditional build,  1 1/8 fork, newer cranks etc.   Kinda afraid the Hutch purists will come after me.  lol

This will make a great rider, but won't be a show bike with hazy chrome,  whoever painted it scuffed the surface, the gooey red paint kept any rust off of it.

Re: 1982 Hutch Pro Racer

Of course any purist would be offended.
The bike would be more fun as a rider than as a bare frame. Build what you want, it won't hurt the Hutch Pro Racer frame.

Re: 1982 Hutch Pro Racer

Sold.  Passed it on to someone who wanted to build it.   Started gathering parts a few times and the frame size just wasnt gonna do it for me.  Ive gotten spoiled by mid school 21" top tube aluminum bikes.
