Re: Pro size bars on a cruiser?

Hey if its for cruising you might as well make it as comfortable as possible with larger pro bars and a more comfortable seat. I would even consider a few extra gears for some added fun!

Re: Pro size bars on a cruiser?

I've got a redline MX24,  will be swapping to a taller bar, just looking good for the right one.

Already swapped from 41/18 to 43/18. And added padded pivotal seat.

Set it up for how you want to ride.

I just put Wald "CW style" bars on my beach cruiser. Feels great.

I've built both my 24 and my 26 with pro bars. Feels great to ride and looks better than I thought too

Re: Pro size bars on a cruiser?

Troy, I'll be honest with you -- I hate how pro bars look on cruisers.   In my opinion, it throws the proportions off, but I would agree that the comfort is hard to beat.  For me, cruisers are best set up with cruiser bars -- even for chill cruising. I've adapted to the relative discomfort of the combination by making sure I stretch and re-posture when needed.  It works for me, but cannot guarantee that it will work for others.

Re: Pro size bars on a cruiser?

/\ Depends on the cruiser geo as well. On my dirt jumper 'cruisers' I run low rise cruiser bars. 24 / 26 old school types, prefer higher rise pro bars.

Low rise rocks on the right bike (some would say these are to 'high rise' for this bike)

Re: Pro size bars on a cruiser?

First thing I change on a cruiser are the bars.. expert or pro bars work just fine.

Great insight guys and some nice rides. I really like the look of the bigger bars...I guess comfort will be determined.

Funny you brought it up ..I just got my first cruiser and it needs a good do over but I need taller bars than your standarized low cruiser style bars if that's what you mean by "pro bars" ...
